Welcome to the August Newsletter. The activities team have been keeping us busy.
Thanks to everyone who attended the Car Boot sale/Fun day and to those who ran a stall and donated prizes. All monies raised goes to enhance the lives of our residents.
August brought lots of sunshine, with walks in the garden, outdoor games and planting flowers. We travelled to Biggar to the Gillespie centre, where we were looked after so beautifully. Afternoon tea was served in fine china cups and we accessed the book swap initiative. We enjoyed singing our favourite songs on the journey home whilst admiring the stunning countryside and farm animals. We also visited Amazonia in Strathclyde Country Park. The experience was amazing!
Our entertainers, John Waterstone and Liz Clarke visited and provided afternoons of music,from a variety of genres.
Elvis will be visiting Crofthead in the next few weeks and we will be dancing the afternoon away.
The staff are also very proud of achieving a top score for the care and support they provide to our residents. Congratulations!
Looking forward, we have an evening of Bingo arranged ( Fundraiser) at Fauldhouse Miners Club. If anyone would like to donate some prizes then please pass to the Activities Team.
Many thanks as always, to the families and friends of Crofthead Care home for wonderful support we receive. We truly are a fantastic community.
