The sun is finally shining, and it’s out and about for our residents.
We attended the Activities networking Olympics event, at Craigswood Sports Centre in Livingston, and picked up a trophy and a few medals. The King’s Coronation event included a visit from dignitaries, together with a horse and carriage ride around the beautiful village of Fauldhouse. We are off to the garden centre in the Clyde Valley this week to choose plants for the garden and there is a troupe of Spanish dancers visiting, bringing Flamenco to Crofthead.
Amazonia in Strathclyde Country park is on our planner for June, with invitations extended to families.Who will be brave enough to hold a snake or a tarantula? The residents and family trip to the Ratho Barge was a tremendous success. Thanks to the Seagull Trust for making us all so welcome.
Our Men’s club went out for lunch to Armadale and our Ladies Club is going from strength to strength, along with our weekly choir practice and our seated excercise, supported by Generation Arts. We now have 2 registered “pilots” signed up for our Cycling for Scotland initiative, and the village trishaw has enabled the residents to travel around the golf course, into the woodland and to wave to our friends in the village.
The village Gala day is in June and our annual tradition is to nominate a Crofthead King and Queen. Watch this space.
Summer has kicked off!
Families are welcome to join our FB group. If you would like to be added please message the activities team.
Thanks
