September is the month of harvest and our residents have prepared veggies for the soup pot. We have peeled the carrots, scrubbed the potatoes and chosen scotch broth and lentil soup for our menus.
We have sat outdoors to catch the last of the summer sunshine, both in our glorious garden and on our raised bed area out front. Our families have enjoyed cups of tea and picnics on our ornate benches. Everyone enjoys watching and waving to the local people of our beautiful village. Our hanging baskets continue to bloom, thanks to our resident gardener, the maintenance team and the in house gardening club.
If you have any cuttings we could utilise please ask the activities team or deposit in our indoor potting shed.
Halloween plans are underway as we approach October.
As always thank you for your continued support as Crofthead, and our wonderful residents continue to thrive.
If you would like to offer your skills then please pop into the activities office on the ground floor. You are always welcome.
