Newsletter December 2024

A full month of celebrations with residents, families, staff, and the wider community.
Santa visited together with a dancing Christmas tree and a little singing elf. Christmas lunch was provided by our talented kitchen team and the tables were decorated in a red and gold theme with plenty of fizz and soft drinks.

We travelled to the panto in Lanark, which was the story of Jack and the Beanstock and we also welcomed a visiting panto company too. Our professional entertainers helped us dance the afternoons away, which was a joy to behold as we have talented residents who know a thing or two about ballroom dancing.

The cheese and wine and Christmas cocktail evenings were a great success, together with Saturday evening bingo with festive prizes.

Many thanks must go to the local golf club, Greenburn, for welcoming us again to the annual family and residents lunch. The meal was beautiful.

We baked Christmas cake and had some clootie dumpling at our Christmas coffee mornings. We sang carols with the school, nursery and the wider guiding community, who visited to create wonderful Christmas cards with our residents. We wrapped gifts, decorated our home with an abundance of Christmas Trees, lights and wall art.

Our door wreaths were displayed with great pride.

The hair salon and nail bar were very busy as we all glammed up for this very special month.

The annual evening trip out to see the Christmas lights, accompanied by singing en route was enjoyed by many.

And the staff were great fun, dressing up with us on Christmas jumper day and in their sparkly tea shirts for Christmas morning. The team ensured that everyone had their gifts to open too.

May we take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to our very festive December. It was a great success.
