A fabulous month of visits from Brownies, Guides, the nursery and school. Trips to the Eastfield Centre for entertainment and cups of tea, together with visits to the local Partnership Centre utilising the excellent library facilities, were welcomed.
We enjoyed Halloween celebrations with pumpkins and lanterns and we created autumnal art for our planned art wall. We have a beach scene with a beach hut seat and wall art for everyone to enjoy.
The Tri- shaw initiative ( cycling without age) enjoyed some late autumn sunshine and the residents and staff toured the village, with onboard historical commentary. It’s wonderful to enjoy the fresh air, the sunshine and views over the golf course and Pentland Hills.
Chair exercises are a firm favourite on our planner alongside weekly coffee morning and choir. We are also very appreciative of support from West Lothian Museum services who provide our reminiscing boxes. This month we enjoyed “ a night out in the 40s, 50s and 60s”. The boxes included fashions perfumes and aftershaves across the decades.
We discussed the upcoming winter season and discussed plans for St Andrews Day and Christmas of course.
The residents are looking forward to panto season.
Wrap up warm as we move into our winter months.
As always, many thanks from all at Crofthead for your continued support.
