February was a busy month here at Crofthead. The residents enjoyed a wonderful Valentines Day Lunch. We especially loved our couple’s Valentines meal, served in our Garden room. Every lady was gifted a scented rose and a chocolate heart.
The Zoo came to visit and residents, families and staff enjoyed an afternoon with a variety of exotic animals. The handler educated everyone on the care of these wonderful creatures and offered a handling session to everyone present.
Sunday Singing sessions were provided by Ms Love on the Piano. A regular visitor to Crofthead and pupil of our local secondary school. Anne and Poppy the dog, favourites with our residents, will be evolving the Crofthead Choir in the coming months.
We began our arrangements for the virtual cycle of 10 Scottish Landscapes. Our map is displayed in our reception area, offering a preview of our route. We begin our virtual trip in March. Residents and Staff will be encouraging each other along the route. Who will be wearing the Yellow ‘ Tour de Scotland’ jersey at the final destination?
